Walks along the sentier littoral
The sentier littoral goes all around the Golfe de Saint Tropez so you can explore it in chunks. A big part of the area is included in a natural reserve, so great for walking! Make sure to check the weather conditions before leaving, especially the fire risk. My favourite sections are:
Gigaro to Plage du Bouis: it’s a 45mn walk to plage du Bouis from the end of Gigaro beach. You can pick the path next to the beach to get there and return using the path that is more inland (the Route Forestière de Gigaro). Bring a lot of water, some sunscreen, a beach umbrella & a picnic and you will have a great day! If you are courageous, you can continue walking all the way to Cap Lardier or even Cap Taillat but make sure you leave early in the morning so you have time to get back (or arrange a taxi/ car to come pick you up in l’Escalet).
L’Escalet to Cap Taillat: There is a beautiful beach at the end of the walk and some beach coves on the way.
Phare de Camarat to l’Escalet
Plage des Canebiers to Plage des Salins
You can find some other walks suggestions on this website and here too
Water-sports and Cycling
Pep’s Spirit: They have two shops: one on Pampelonne beach and one in l’Escalet.
You can rent bikes and explore the area by yourselves or join one of their tours.
You can also rent paddles or kayaks from them. It’s great to rent them in l’Escalet and cross over to Cap Taillat (the water is beautiful in that area).
You can also rent some paddles/ kayaks on Gigaro beach, next to la Brigantine.
In Cavalaire, you can rent some kite surfs, wake surfs ect
If you have your boat licence you can rent a boat in Cavalaire (will be much cheaper than in St Tropez).
There is a diving school in Pampelonne. If you have some experience, you can explore a submarine shipwreck!
Wine Tasting
Fondugues Pradugues has a number of wine tasting options, if you are into natural wines.
Some domains, like La Tourraque, do some wine tastings and let you visit the domain. There is a beautiful beach at the end of the walk and some beach coves on the way.
